Year 3’s final session with Leicester Tigers

Year 6 Parkour

This week’s lesson of parkour challenged the children to combine a range of skills into a routine which was similar to something we saw on the parkour videos the previous week. Cross Country part 2

Continuing with Cross Country,this week saw year 5 working on improving their lap times. They worked on running 1 lap of the field, 3 laps, 100m and an endurance run of 10 minutes. The children were pleased with their performances and have improved on their previous times.  

Parkour

Year 6 have started their new unit of gymnastics, in particular looking at parkour. Parkour is the art of travelling at different speeds over various equipment including jumping, climbing, sliding, rotating and balancing. The pictures show how they got on in their first lesson.
